The Mudhouse is two and a half hours drive from Colombo’s BIA international airport.

Kandy is two and a half hours away wilst Anuradhapura is one and a half. Sigiriya and many of the ‘Cultural Triangle’ sites are roughly 3 hours drive.

We have reserved the entire 50 acres, which includes a village layout of 5 main dwelling lodges, an open sided dining lodge, a yoga shala with incredible energy, natural materials on a lake. The entire Eco Lodge is hand crafted of natural materials, yet gorgeous use of stone, forest paths, birds are everywhere, yet there is a deep peace. The "huts" are equipped with fabulous mattresses and different layouts offer privacy, jungle romance, group and communal hang spaces, creative spaces, the "mud" floors and walls are hand made termite mound mica earth, gentle to the feet, and energetically incredibly nourishing. The Mud House retreat grows their own organic food, including fresh curry leaves, gotu kola, vegetables and spices. The kitchen is beyond beyond. 8 wood fires and 4 chefs prepare your meals made from local ingredients, spices, sauces, and beautiful table top decorations invite the senses to open and be nourished on every level.
